From Academic Excellence
to Market Intelligence

Our journey began in 2016, when we received one of the world's most prestigious research grants from the European Research Council (ERC), the EU's flagship program supporting high-risk, high-gain, groundbreaking scientific projects. As the first researcher in the selected region to receive an ERC grant in the field of Social Sciences, our founder opened the door to an entirely new era of AI-powered social and consumer insights.

Over the course of five years, the €1.5M ERC funding enabled us to conduct pioneering work in computational social sciences, combining machine learning, deep language processing, and cross-country research. We built multilingual, multi-country AI models trained on data from China, India, South Africa, the UK, and beyond developing a new scientific foundation for understanding human behavior at scale.

This breakthrough led to our second EU grant in 2020: the European Commission- Horizon Europe Twinning Project. Together with leading institutions from Germany and Italy, we focused on capacity building in computational research. During this period, our founder served as Director of a Computational Research Center, further accelerating our expertise at the intersection of AI and social sciences.

Enlighty was founded in 2022 with an ERC Proof-of-Concept grant, we now bring enterprise-grade insights to marketing, brand, and customer experience leaders transforming complex consumer sentiments and behaviors into actionable intelligence. Today, Enlighty stands as one of the rare companies born directly out of research, carrying forward Europe's most ambitious scientific vision into the world of technology and business.
