Part 1 — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Android / iOS

RESPECT is an AI-powered application that detects, prevents, and mitigates online harm — including harassment and abusive content — in real time. It is developed and operated by Politus Analytics / Enlighty.ai. By using RESPECT, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account information

• Name and email address (at registration)
• Account credentials (stored encrypted)
• Parent or guardian account details for family accounts

2.2 Content processed for harm detection

Important: Content is processed primarily on-device. We do NOT access passwords, financial data, or secure/banking fields.

• Text you type or receive in messaging apps (with explicit consent)
• On-screen text read via Android Accessibility Service (see Section 4)
• Incident reports: detected harassment events and abuse category classifications

2.3 Device and usage data

• Device type and operating system version
• Non-identifiable app usage logs
• Crash and performance diagnostics

2.4 Children's data

• Processed only under verified parental or guardian consent
• Guardian dashboards may receive alerts and activity summaries

3. Why We Collect It

• Detect and classify harmful or abusive content in real time
• Deliver immediate alerts and safer-rewrite suggestions
• Provide behavioral nudges and educational guidance
• Enable parental or guardian monitoring features
• Improve AI model accuracy and app performance
• Maintain platform safety and prevent misuse

We collect only the minimum data required for these purposes.

4. Accessibility Service Use

Google Play disclosure: RESPECT uses Android's Accessibility Service API to read on-screen text for harm detection. This disclosure is required by Google Play policy.

RESPECT uses Android's Accessibility Service API for the following limited purpose:

• Reading visible on-screen text to identify potentially harmful language
• Providing real-time alerts when abusive content is detected

Accessibility data is:

• Processed primarily on-device whenever technically possible
• Never sold or shared with third parties for advertising
• Never used to collect passwords, banking data, or content from secure fields
• Never stored beyond what is necessary for immediate analysis
• Only activated after the user explicitly grants the permission

This use of the Accessibility Service is strictly limited to harm-detection and is not used for any other purpose.

5. How Data Is Processed

• Text analysis occurs on-device first, reducing data transmitted to servers
• When server-side processing is required, data is encrypted in transit using TLS
• AI model inference may use anonymized or aggregated content to improve accuracy
• Differential privacy and anonymization techniques are applied wherever possible

6. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell user data to any third party. We may share limited data only in these circumstances:

• Service providers: hosting, analytics, and security vendors bound by strict data protection contracts
• Legal compliance: when required by applicable law, court order, or government authority
• Safety emergencies: when disclosure is necessary to protect user or public safety

7. Data Retention

• Account data: retained until the account is deleted
• Incident data: limited retention for safety insights; anonymized thereafter
• Diagnostic logs: short-term retention for debugging (typically 30 days)

8. Children's Privacy

• Accounts for minors require verifiable parental or guardian consent
• Guardians have access to a monitoring dashboard with activity alerts
• Data collection is minimized and strictly purpose-limited
• We comply with COPPA (US) and GDPR-K (EU) where applicable

If we become aware that a child's data has been collected without proper consent, we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

• End-to-end encryption for sensitive data transmissions where applicable
• Secure cloud storage with strict access controls and authentication
• Regular security assessments and vulnerability monitoring
• Privacy-preserving AI techniques including anonymization and differential privacy

10. Legal Basis (GDPR)

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a); Art. 9(2)(a)): harm detection, accessibility permissions, children's data
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): platform safety, fraud prevention, product improvement
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): when required to comply with applicable law

You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

11. Permissions

All permissions are optional, clearly disclosed at time of request, and revocable at any time in device settings.

12. Your Rights

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion — request erasure of your data (see Part 2)
• Withdraw consent — revoke previously granted permissions at any time
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Object to processing — object to processing based on legitimate interests

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in Section 14. We will respond within 30 days.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Part 2 — Account Deletion Policy

Google Play requirement: In compliance with Google Play's Data Deletion Policy, RESPECT allows any user to permanently delete their account and all associated data at any time.

1. Overview

Users may request deletion of their RESPECT account and all associated personal data at any time. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Because RESPECT does not have an in-app delete account feature, all deletion requests are handled via web form or email.

2. How to Delete Your Account

Option A — Web Request (Primary method)

Visit our dedicated deletion page and submit a request:

• URL: Not available yet
• Fill in your registered email address and confirm your identity
• Submit the form — you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours

Option B — Email Request

Send a deletion request to our privacy team:

• Subject line: Account Deletion Request
• Include your registered email address and your full name

Note: There is no in-app delete account option. All deletion requests must be submitted via the web form or email as described above.

3. What Happens When You Delete Your Account

We permanently delete:

• Account information: name, email address, login credentials
• Linked child or guardian accounts
• Personal preferences and settings
• Stored incident and activity history

We may retain:

• Fully anonymized, non-identifiable data used for aggregate analytics
• Data legally required to be retained under applicable law

4. Processing Time

• Requests are processed within 7 days in most cases
• All requests are completed within a maximum of 30 days from receipt
• A confirmation email is sent when deletion is complete

5. Important Notes

Warning: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. You cannot undo this action.

• If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately via Google Play or the App Store before requesting account deletion
• To use RESPECT again after deletion, you must create a new account
• Deletion of a guardian account will also remove linked child accounts
